But God Moments

Every story has a turning point.

There are moments when fear speaks loudly, the outcome feels final, and the road ahead looks closed. Then two words change everything: But God.

The Meaning

What is a "But God" moment?

A "But God" moment is the place where human limitation meets divine intervention. It is when the diagnosis, the betrayal, the loss, the fear, or the impossible situation does not get the final word.

It is the moment when God protects, provides, restores, rescues, heals, or redeems.

For some, it is a second chance. For others, it is a miracle they never saw coming. For every believer, it is a reminder that the story is not over when God is still writing it.

Scripture

But God moments are all through Scripture.

Genesis 20:1-3

Sarah

Sarah was taken into Abimelech's house after Abraham said she was his sister. The situation could have ended in disaster, but God intervened in a dream and protected her.

God sees what others cannot, and He can protect what we cannot control.

Acts 7:9-10

Joseph

Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery. What looked like abandonment became part of God's plan. But God was with him and rescued him from all his troubles.

Betrayal does not get the final word when God is present in the story.

1 Samuel 23:14

David

David was hunted day after day by Saul, but God did not give David into his hands.

Even when the pressure does not stop, God can still preserve your life and purpose.

Acts 3:14-15

Jesus

Jesus was rejected and killed, but God raised Him from the dead.

The cross looked final, but resurrection had the final word.

Philippians 2:25-27

Paul & Epaphroditus

Epaphroditus became seriously ill and almost died, but God had mercy on him.

God's mercy reaches into places of weakness, sickness, sorrow, and fear.

Romans 5:6-8

All Believers

While we were still helpless and still sinners, Christ died for us. But God demonstrated His love through Jesus.

The greatest But God moment is grace itself.
